The Académie Spatiale d’Île-de-France aims to unite, improve, and promote training activities in the Paris region’s space sector. It works to raise young people’s awareness of the diversity of careers in the space sector and to build a community around major strategic themes: the environment, space exploration, privatization and competition in the sector, the emergence of NewSpace and agile methods, the development of payloads, and propulsion challenges.

Among its actions, particular attention is devoted to inter-university cooperation, women’s representation, equal opportunities, and international outreach.

Master 2 NPAC – Nuclei, Particles, Astroparticles Cosmology (English-taught)

The NPAC “M2”(*) Master’s degree is designed to provide training for students who wish to study nuclear physics, particle physics, astroparticles, and cosmology. More specifically, it prepares students for either an experimental (primarily) or a theoretical PhD in these fields in laboratories attached to universities or other major research institutions (in particular, but not exclusively, CNRS and CEA in France).

(*) In the French system, the Master’s program is divided into two years: M1 (first year of Master) and M2 (second year of Master).

Master 2 IRT (SUTS parcours IRT) – International Research Track (English-taught)

1 year – Université PSL (ENS, Observatoire de Paris)

The international research track (M2 IRT) is designed according to the priorities of the graduate program, with strong links between academic teaching and laboratory research. You will need to choose one of six majors in line with your career plans in order to learn the techniques and methods used in astrophysics. The program is based on competitive projects in astrophysics and engineering for astrophysics conducted at PSL.

International mobility scholarships

The call for applications for international mobility scholarships is open to international students who will join the Académie Spatiale (incoming mobility), as well as to students from the academy wishing to undertake a period abroad (outgoing mobility).

International mobility scholarships are awarded for study projects lasting one academic year or one academic semester. They are intended for international students wishing to enrol in the master’s programmes of the Académie Spatiale d’Île-de-France, as well as for students of the academy who wish to carry out internships abroad.

International conferences

Throughout 2026, the Académie Spatiale d’Île-de-France will take part in several major international conferences, showcasing our work and expanding our collaborations abroad. At each event, our director, Philippe Keckhut, will present the academy’s vision, ongoing projects and future ambitions.
It will be an opportunity to meet us outside France!
