Cannelle Clavier et Maylis Gaulin, doctorantes au LATMOS, ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9dition 2025 de l\u2019European Research Course on the Atmosphere (ERCA)<\/strong>, organis\u00e9e \u00e0 Grenoble. Cette formation de deux semaines s’adresse aux scientifiques en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re souhaitant repousser les fronti\u00e8res des sciences de l’atmosph\u00e8re et r\u00e9pondre aux grands d\u00e9fis environnementaux contemporains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cannelle Clavier and Maylis Gaulin, doctoral students at LATMOS, participated in the 2025 edition of the European Research Course on the Atmosphere (ERCA), held in Grenoble. This two-week training course is aimed at early-career scientists who want to push the boundaries of atmospheric science and respond to major contemporary environmental challenges.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Lors de ces deux semaines \u00e0 ERCA, des intervenants venus de toute l\u2019Europe ont partag\u00e9 leur expertise. Leurs cours ont favoris\u00e9 des \u00e9changes stimulants pour de jeunes chercheurs. Mon projet sur la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019air en Europe m\u2019a offert l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9changer avec des sp\u00e9cialistes du domaine. Les donn\u00e9es ont pu \u00eatre analys\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des observations spatiales et des mod\u00e8les atmosph\u00e9riques. Certains cours \u00e9taient proches de mon champ de recherche, et m’ont permis d\u2019\u00e9largir ma compr\u00e9hension des enjeux scientifiques et d’affiner mon approche sur mon sujet de th\u00e8se. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0During these two weeks at ERCA, speakers from all over Europe shared their expertise. Their lectures encouraged stimulating discussions among young researchers. My project on air quality in Europe gave me the opportunity to talk with specialists in the field. The data was analyzed using space observations and atmospheric models. Some of the lectures were closely related to my field of research, allowing me to broaden my understanding of the scientific issues involved and refine my approach to my thesis topic.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation en 1993 par le professeur Claude Boutron, ERCA a organis\u00e9 31 sessions, r\u00e9unissant environ 1 300 participants issus de 50 pays. L\u2019\u00e9dition 2025 marquera la 32e session du programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its creation in 1993 by Professor Claude Boutron, ERCA has organized 31 sessions, bringing together approximately 1,300 participants from 50 countries. The 2025 edition will mark the program’s 32nd session.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
